Esther Reyes

Director of Immigration Policy & Advocacy

For over a decade, Esther has worked to elevate the well-being of immigrant families in Texas through direct services, community organizing, advocacy and research. As a result of her efforts to protect the human rights of immigrants, Esther was recognized as Hispana del Año and as a Women and Girls Lead honoree in Austin. Prior to joining CDF, Esther served as Director of Community Relations for Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work, summa cum laude, from Baylor University; a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. ABD in Public Policy from the University of Texas at Austin.
