Julio Acosta is the Advocacy Campaigns Organizing Associate at Children’s Defense Fund – Texas.
Since 2016, Julio has worked with the intersection of multiracial, multilingual, multifaith community organizing and Texas electoral politics.
Prior to working at CDF-TX, Julio was the campaign manager for a state house race in Dallas. From 2018 to 2019, he was a Community Organizer at Faith in Texas. He has also helped coalition spaces like Reform Immigration for Texas Alliance and Texas For All.
Julio lives in Dallas with his wife, Janelle, and enjoys romantic comedies and sci fi movies.
