About the Faith in Action Event
Children’s Defense Fund-Texas is convening faith and community leaders to prioritize child well-being as a spiritual discipline.
As communities of faith engage in the movement for justice, Faith in Action invites leaders to fulfill this calling through CDF’s proven, evidence-based programs.
Leaders will:
- learn about the urgent issues Texas children are facing
- re-imagine what it looks like to improve children’s lives year-round, such as through celebrating the Children’s Sabbath, attending the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute, and sponsoring CDF Freedom Schools® in Texas
- hear from and engage with CDF program and policy teams leading this work in communities across our state and nationwide
We hope you will attend this inaugural convening and help us activate local leaders to change the odds for Texas children!
