Tamika McFail

Community Health Outreach Associate


For the past 4 years, prior to joining CDF-Texas, Tamika was the community outreach navigator for Goodwill Industries of East Texas. Through her role at Goodwill, Tamika found shelters for the homeless, advocacy centers for those in crisis, assisted with financial aid applications for college, assisted job searchers with resumes and finding employment opportunities, as well as assisted those in need with applying for state benefits.

In August 2019, Tamika became a Community Health Worker through Texas Health and Human Services. As a CHW she has built relationships throughout the community with other organizations to increase health disparities through community engagement and outreach.

With CDF-Texas, Tamika continues to support families throughout the community with by providing access to affordable healthcare options for children and spreading knowledge of the community resources available for families to meet their daily living needs.

Outside of CDF. Tamika is a proud mother of 3 and a “Sassy” to 2 grands. In her free time she enjoys cooking, shopping, and listening to jazz, R&B, and old school music.
